CHELSEA TREMBLEUSE COFFEE CUP & SAUCER

A very rare Chelsea Red Anchor Trembleuse Coffee Cup and Saucer, the cup of bell shape with green branch handle terminating at the top with sprays of moulded leaves and forget me nots, the saucer painted in Japanese Kakiemon style with sprays of flowers and foliage, all within chocolate brown rims. c1755. Probably of Meissen influence.

Red Anchor marks. Tiny chip to rim of cup and tiny chip and stress crack to rim of saucer.

CHELSEA RAISED ANCHOR DISH TIGERS

A fine early Chelsea Raised Anchor deep fluted Dish of small size, painted in the central circular reserve with two tigers playing on a rock, trees and flying birds in the background. Three floral sprigs to the border, chocolate line rims. c1752.
