RICHARD CHAFFERS MINIATURE LIVERPOOL TEABOWL

A good Richard Chaffers miniature Liverpool Teabowl, finely painted in underglaze blue with an island scene, trees issuing from rocks and telegraph poles on the side of a hill and a flock of flying birds.

Unmarked c1760.

Two tiny nicks to rim.

55mm diameter. 28mm high.

CHAFFERS LIVERPOOL TEAPOT AND COVER

A good Chaffers Liverpool fluted Teapot and Cover with acorn knop and solid loop handle, painted in bright polychrome enamels with the ‘Beckoning Chinaman’ pattern.

Unmarked c1760 – 62.

Restoration to flange of Teapot, spout and chip on lid. Two small cracks to body.

LIVERPOOL JUMPING BOY OCTAGONAL SAUCER

A fine and rare Richard Chaffers Liverpool octagonal Saucer with the so called “Jumping Boy” pattern printed in underglaze blue depicting a young boy jumping for joy, his mother seated in a garden holding a spray of flowers, within panelled diaper border.

Pseudo Chinese marks c1758-60. Mint condition.

106mm diameter.

JOHN & JANE PENNINGTON LIVERPOOL MUG

An extremely rare John & Jane Pennington Liverpool Mug, of plain cylindrical shape with grooved strap handle, painted in underglaze blue with a Chinese figure holding an umbrella standing by a gate looking towards towering rocks, the reverse with a figure seated in a sailing boat between islands.

Unmarked c1770-75. Mint condition.

Provenance: The Pinewood Collection sold at Sotheby’s October 2007.
